Bundala National Park

Bundala parkland is found regarding 250km south east of national capital in Hambantota district. it's covering a section of 6216 hectares. General climate of this park is hot and dry because the park falls into the low downfall zone of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The vegetation of the park is thorny scrub jungle that is boarded by the price line.

Biodiversity of this park is extraordinarily high because the lagoons and therefore the complicated soil system provide the utmost support for various species. over three hundred plant species are recorded from the park from that half dozen plant species area unit endemic and thirty two species of mammals roughly 197 species like stork, Spoonbill, inexperienced Shank, Red Shank, Spot-billed pelecaniform seabird, Blue-faced Malkoha, Crested Hawk eagle area unit found here.
